Hair Care Tips
Dry Hair
Most people think that dry hair only happens in sunshine, but the winter months can be as cruel to hair as the blistering sun. Give you hair the beauty treatment it needs during the cold windy winter, like your skin hair needs nourishment and moisture too.
The key thing for most people is time! Treatments that are out and about today don’t take 20-30 minutes, more professional products are moving to spray and leave in treatments that don’t overload the hair but repair and nourish it. Ask your stylist which treatment would compliment your hair.
Colour Fade
Lots of people ask about colours fading and the most common reason is you’re using a shampoo that is no good for your colour.
Without going into too much detail (or any), there is a big difference in consumer and professional products but colour fade shampoo’s and conditioner’s do work, though it doesn’t make the colour last forever it will certainly prolong the fading.
Irons/Heat Damage
A big problem many people have asked is why they get dry hair, split ends and colour fade even when using good products and regular visits to the salon.
So before you all scream at me! I am not saying stop using your irons? But use them correctly.
Always make sure you use a good 200 degree heat protector and use it ever time you use irons on you hair.
Lots of people admit they get up in the morning, look in the mirror with little time to spare and switch on the irons. Even this is fine to some degree as long as you again put protector on.
The best ones I have found are none oil spray’s they are quick and easy to use but the good ones make a massive difference. Also let the irons run smoothly through your hair in one movement ,you shouldn’t need to go over the same section 3-4 times.
One thing I say to a lot of clients, that use good irons but don’t seem to get the message, is “you don’t cook a chicken on 220 degrees, but that is what you’re using on your hair” this normally hits the spot. So checkout our protection spray and put it on your list.
